Small Groups/Bible Studies

Various small groups and bible studies that meet during the week.

Seeing Gray in a World of Black and White – New Bible study starting August 27th.
The Discovery Class would like to invite you to join us for an Adam Hamilton study, “Seeing Gray in a World of Black and White – Thoughts on Religion, Morality, and Politics”. It will be a 10-week journey using his book, but the book is not required to participate. We will have handouts available.
Not everything is black or white, left or right. There is a gray area that we want to discuss and explore with Hamilton. We will also be including some material from “Half Truths” by Hamilton. Join us in the Discovery Class room on the 1st floor of the CLC near the restrooms by Grace Vision.

Women’s Bible Studies

New Fall Bible Study:
1 Peter – A Living Hope in Christ – by Jen Wilkin
Dates: September 14th through November 9th
Time: 9:15 a.m.
Where: Women’s Ministry Room
Contact: Freda Shirah at dshirah630@charter.net

Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers’ true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ. Key themes of humility, submission, and identity in Christ guide the study of 1 Peter as participants are challenged to read the book in its entirety each week.

Participant books can be purchased at Lifeway on online at lifeway.com.
