Etheridge’s Epistle – July

GRACE
My favorite word in the Bible and the English language is the word Grace. The word grace, (charis) is used by the biblical writers with a considerable variety of meanings. Good will, loving kindness, mercy, and grace has come to signify the kindness of God to humankind. For myself, grace is the kindness given to someone who does not deserve it; hence, undeserved favor.

This is how Becki and I felt this Sunday. You have welcomed us with open arms. Thank you for being a gracious people. We are excited about being able to live with you and share in the life and ministry of our new church family. As your new minister, I look forward to the future with great expectations. I am extremely excited about joining you in the journey of ministry and missions. Our church staff is a dedicated group of Christian servants. I feel greatly blessed to have the opportunity to share in ministry with all of them. I pray for God’s Spirit and Grace to be poured out upon us as we grow together. Let us seek to live by faith in order to fulfill God’s call upon our lives in all that we do.

Thank you for receiving us in such a warm and gracious manner!
See you in Worship this Sunday!
In Christ,
Bro. Bill
