“WOMEN AT THE WELL: Quenching Thirsts, Renewing Joy!” The Women’s Ministry Team would like to invite all women to this one-day retreat which will be held on August 13 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the CLC. Whether you are a member, guest, or friend of Trussville FUMC we encourage you to take part in what promises to be a remarkable faith journey. You can register TODAY by completing a registration form at the table set up in the back of the CLC. Joan Bynum or Freda Shirah will be available to assist you with registration.

Communion Fund – If you wish to donate to the Communion Fund, you are welcome to give either during Communion, or at any time. Please place your donation in an envelope with your name on it or write a check. You will be given credit on your contribution statement. Please remember this fund is used to help others in need.

ALL Women of the Church – We NEED your participation in our next UMW FAITH in ACTION project! We’re having a LEARNING TOYS SHOWER to benefit children, infant – 4K at the Lovelady Center, a Christ-centered transitional home in eastern Birmingham for 400 women in crisis and their children. Recently, the Health Department required the Lovelady Center to throw out their old, broken toys! Some of us recently visited the beautiful children there, and their classrooms were almost BARE! Stephanie Smith from the Lovelady Center will speak to us about the children in Lovelady’s Kidzone and Freedom Rains School on Wed., 8/17 in the Pioneer classroom at 6 pm. Bring a friend! UMW Circle Six is hosting. What KIND OF LEARNING TOY could you bring? ANY NEW learn -and-play toys by Vtech, LeapFrog, Fisher-Price, or Little Tykes. Any wooden or plastic alphabet letters and numbers, puzzles, or other learning games. Please No fabric toys, due to health concerns. Let’s help these precious children!

Kairos Prison Ministry is forming a team to visit the men at Elmore Correctional Facility on Thurs., 8/25-8/28. The first team meeting is Sat., 7/16. If you feel called to participate in prison ministry or learn more you can contact John Alexander.

Stephen Minister training class begins in mid-September. If you think you might be interested, talk with one of our Stephen Ministry leaders: Jesse Shaddix, Joe DeWitte, Kathy Roskam, Stuart Garner, or Will Northern.

Ride Needed—A church member who attends Sunday School and the 11:00 service and is no longer able to drive now is in need of a ride on Sundays. She lives less than a mile from the church. Please call 508-3079 if you able to assist in this ministry.
