Your Place in Ministry – July 2nd

The Raleigh Ringers, an amazing Handbell Ensemble, will be ringing at the First Baptist Church in Nashville, TN on July 9, 2017 at 4:00 pm. You are invited to join our own Jubilant Ringers on a road trip to hear them. The cost is $20, (any money not needed for expenses will go into the Handbell Donation Account.) You are responsible for the cost of your meals. We will leave immediately following the 8:30 am Sanctuary Service on July 9, and stop for lunch along the way. We’ll enjoy the Raleigh Ringers’ Concert, stop for dinner on the way back, and return to Trussville FUMC the same day. This trip is open to anyone who wants to go hear and see these amazing ringers. To make your reservation, contact Kelley Clegg Neal or the Church Office.

Parents of Rising 3rd Graders: On Sunday, August 13, during the 8:30 am service your child will be presented with a New Adventure Bible (NIV) with his/her name on it. Please email with the name you would like imprinted, most people prefer the full given name.

Brass 4HIM will be providing music today for Faith United Methodist Church and on July 30th for both traditional services at Alabaster First United Methodist Church.

We need 11 am Ushers for the Sanctuary service. We schedule 6 weeks in advance via email and swapping Sundays is not a problem. If you would be willing to serve about every 5 weeks, or fill-in, please contact Ann Hydrick at

The Thursday 8 am Ladies Emmaus Group will not meet during July.

Join us on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 7:00 am for the UMM Breakfast in the Fellowship Hall. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Dirk Yasko, who has practiced chiropractic in Trussville for many years. He will tell of his competition experiences in the sport Olympic Lifting. Breakfast will be prepared by the New Horizon Sunday School Class.

If you are looking for a way to serve our Church…become a Wednesday night “server”. Call the Church office today and volunteer to serve at Soul Café one Wednesday night a month. Thank you.
