Notices and Opportunities
Poinsettias For Missions: This Christmas season Missions is selling 8” poinsettias for only $20 to help support our Church missions. You can order a poinsettia in honor or in memory of someone special to you. Our poinsettias are grown by Rainbow Omega, a residential home to 79 adults ranging in age from 18 – 79 years old, with developmental disabilities. Rainbow Omega means “hope in the end”. Poinsettia Sunday will be Dec. 17th, and we ask that you leave your poinsettias in the Church Sanctuary until after our 11 am service. Orders may be placed until Fri., Dec. 8th. The completed order form, along with your payment, may be turned in to the Church office or placed in the collection plate. Order forms are available in the office at any time and there will be bulletin inserts during two Sundays in November. Make checks payable to FUMC and write “Poinsettia” on the memo line. Please purchase one poinsettia per person (or per couple) that you wish to honor or remember and to avoid any confusion, designate on your order form who is to receive the poinsettia. Thank you for your support.
Brass4HIM will perform at two upcoming Veterans Day Events: Nov. 10th from 11 am to 1 pm at St. Vincent’s East, 50 Medical Park East Drive, Birmingham, AL 35235 and Veterans Day Breakfast on Nov. 11th from 8:30-10 am at The Arbors Apts., Dining Room, (St. Martins in the Pines.)
It’s not too late to become a part of one of the most rewarding ministries of our church. We want to begin a new class in January and we hope you will consider becoming a part of the ministry of helping others. We have two candidates already signed up for the Stephen Ministry classes that will begin in January. We know that they will be a great asset to the ministry, and we would like to offer you that opportunity as well. See the secretary for an application or contact Rev. Jesse Shaddix at 205-516-1899 or email@example.com.
Thank you for supporting our Circle 1 Pecan Sale!
