Your Place in Ministry – October 15th

Trussville First United Methodist Church is supporting students in service at Birmingham-Southern College.
Students will be in our worship services on Sunday to explain their service experiences and to offer loaves of bread that they have helped package. The congregation may participate in this “Loafing for Service-Learning” fundraiser by contributing to the cause after our morning worship service. A contribution of at least $10, (checks should be made payable to Birmingham-Southern College,) is suggested for which you will receive a fresh loaf of bread and the gratitude of all the people involved. Funds raised will support students’ community engagement work–locally, nationally, and internationally.

The Stephen Ministry selection process is beginning for the January class. Interviews will be held October 22 and 29 at 2:00 pm in the Conference Room. If you have not done so, please return your application by Sunday. We will notify you about your interview time on these two dates. For more information contact Rev. Jesse Shaddix at 205-516-1899 or jshaddix1@charter.net.
