Your Place in Ministry – January 15th

~The Women’s Tuesday Night Bible Study will start a new study on 1/31 at 4:45 in the Women’s Study Room. It will be a 5 week, 6 session study by Beth Moore -“Entrusted, Learn to Guard What God Has Entrusted To You”. ‘We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret. God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves. Beth will encourage you to guard what God has entrusted to you, further His kingdom by sharing Christ with others, and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy.’ This study has 5 different levels of participation; from just watching the video to memorizing the book of 2 Timothy. Participant books are available at LifeWay, and Barber Clark will facilitate. Please email if you have questions –

~The Spirit Moves – an experiment in spiritual growth, dependence on God’s leading, and connecting with our neighbors in meaningful ways. An information meeting for those interested in volunteering for Pastor Joe’s doctoral thesis project and building a powerful connection to God and neighbor will be held at 4 pm on 1/15 in the fellowship hall.

~Princess Ball – Sat., Feb. 11th at 6 pm. Girls ages 3 through 5th grade bring the Prince Charming of your choice to our annual Princess Ball. Cost is $10 per person and includes dinner, dancing and favors. Email today (but no later than 2/5) to reserve your tickets.

~A new women’s Sunday school class will be launched on Sun., 2/5 and we will meet in the Women’s Study Room at 9:45 am. The purpose of this class is to offer a warm, supportive environment where women can bond as sisters-in-Christ while growing in their knowledge and understanding of God’s word. We will be doing life application studies starting with the Bible Studies for Life series. Our first study will be Thrive: Living in Real Joy. We will have the books on the first day of class but if you’d like to look at it beforehand, you can find it at Lifeway. The class name will be JOY. The secret to joy is in keeping our priorities arranged in this order: Jesus, Others, and Yourself. If you are interested in being a part of this new class, please contact: Mary Morton: or Ann Thorn:

~Soul Café. Thank you for your continued support of Soul Cafe. With your help, we’ll continue to enjoy good food and wonderful fellowship each Wednesday night. If you are interested in having a fundraiser on an upcoming Wednesday night, please contact the Church office. We appreciate your reservations for the Wednesday dinners by Tuesday at noon, so that we can have an accurate count to order our food. Due to the increased cost of food, we find it necessary to increase the price of our meals for the first time in several years. Effective Jan. 1st, the meal cost will be $3.00 per child plate and $7.00 per adult plate; there will no longer be a family discount rate.
